Testnet Status & Faucet
Everything described on this site is the NetZero public testnet. USDn on the testnet has no value, is minted freely for testing, and will not carry over to a mainnet. Validator keys are test keys. Treat the network as a place to build and break things.

Getting test USDn
On a local testnet, the genesis funds a faucet account with 10,000,000 test-USDn. Its key is derived deterministically (see cmd/nzc-testkeys in the repository), and the tool can send from it:
nzc-testkeys send http://127.0.0.1:8699 0xYourAddress 100 # 100 test-USDnOn the public testnet, a web faucet will hand out a fixed amount per address per day. Until it is live, ask the team for test-USDn, or run a node and mine: the first share pays without any balance.
The public testnet runs on one server in London (ten validator seats plus the RPC node). It is a testnet; it can be reset, and this page will say when.
What "no value" means in practice
- Do not build anything that depends on testnet USDn being redeemable. It is not.
- The chain may be reset. When it is, the genesis hash changes and this page says so.
- Testnet parameters are deliberately short (an epoch is 10 minutes, a "year" of the validator schedule is about four hours) so that every mechanism is exercised within a day.
