Done
| Phase | Deliverable |
|---|---|
| Design | Consensus, tokenomics, architecture, security and legal analysis written and reviewed (repository docs/00–08) |
| Testnet scope | All open decisions taken with testnet defaults (docs/09) |
| Phase 1: engine | Ten-seat PoSA engine, in-turn/out-of-turn sealing, vote gossip, 7-of-10 finality, finalized/safe tags, fee split in the block, Incentive Pool, base fee floor, compiled-in genesis, nzc_* RPC, local ten-validator launcher. Verified: production, finality lag 1, fee split to the wei, 300-tx block, kill 3 / kill 4 / restart |
| Public testnet | Ten validators and a public RPC on one server, bootnode compiled in, this site with docs and the live explorer (2026-09-25) |
| Phase 3: mining shares | keccak256 shares carried as withdrawals, gossip, inclusion, per-share payout in Finalize, in-node share miner behind agent_startMining, nzc_shareTarget / nzc_submitShare / nzc_shares. Live from block 29,400 (2026-09-26); first payouts verified. RandomY reserved for mainnet |
In progress / next
| Phase | Deliverable | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 2: USDn | Attested mint system transaction, redemption burn, nzc_mint for testnet operators | Testnet USDn stays test money |
| 4: Contracts | ValidatorSet (seat schedule, elections, bonds, slashing), CarbonFund (timelocked withdrawals), IncentivePool, CDRT, NAV oracle; engine reads the seat list from the contract | Foundry tests including a compressed 15-year schedule simulation |
| 5: Hardening | Engine unit tests, double-sign evidence, downtime accounting, fuzzing of header decoding, startup out-of-turn guard | |
| 6: Public testnet, next steps | Validators on three providers, HTTPS RPC under a real domain, faucet, agent SDK, KPI page | Current RPC: http://165.227.236.60 (Testnet Status) |
| 7: Audit | External audit of engine and contracts | Before any mainnet |
Decided later (needs the founders and counsel)
- USDn issuance model for mainnet (authorised e-money issuer, partner, or wholesale-only) and the MiCA analysis.
- Mainnet chain ID, validator hosting, key management.
- Whether validators take a fee share during years 1–5 (10%) or 0 until seats are elected.
- Incentive Pool size and halving schedule at mainnet.
Honest caveats
- Everything here is a testnet; USDn on it is worth nothing.
- Ten company validators is centralised on purpose for five years; the schedule that changes it is real code, but it has not run for five years yet.
- Carbon removal purchases from the Carbon Fund happen on mainnet, not on the testnet. The testnet proves the mechanism, not the tonnes.
